As we mentioned earlier, being a rockstar ain’t all about fun and games. It’s also about the obligation to make the fans feel irie – first of all with the jams we do, of course, but certainly also when it comes to the choice of a venue for our gigs. That’s why we travel around a lot.

This week, we checked out the Netherlands.

Paradiso in Amsterdam is a nice venue, located in the very heart of the city so our fans need not worry about getting a decent bite to eat. Or, not unimportant, get a hold of some decent ganjaweed for a reasonable price. So this one’s a good choice.

We often start our shows with a carefree little ditty that’s so fresh that it hasn’t even got a name. And today we figured, why not upload it on a rainy afternoon like this? We even came up with a name for it. Naturally, the good people at ReverbNation crop it because it’s too long, but The SixtyOne and MySpace don’t. And the former even allows downloads!

In the left column, you’ll find the links to all of our online music cribs. Below: the video.

Madame and me have been thinking. Being a rockstar is also about setting an example. It ain’t all fun and games. Sure, there’s always those good times in the Green Room. Wouldn’t wanna miss those for the world, really.

But still. We also gotta give something back to the world.

So this week, we’ll be doing a couple of fundraisers for the repair of the hole in the ozone layer. And trust me: that’s expensive shit with dem space shuttles and all. So we hope y’all will be there and tip genereously. There’ll be no cover charge cuz we knowz you’re all good people. Bless your hearts.

Due to environmental concerns, we haven’t booked a limo service to get you there. But we can offer environment-friendly TP’s:

Monday, Sept. 28, Noon SLT: Greenies Kitchen Table, … /28/142/36
Monday, Sept. 28, 2 PM SLT: The New Vibe HQ,
Saturday, Oct. 3, 1 PM: Monika’s Gallery, exact addres yet to be determined

What a great week this is. So many places to jam, so many beautiful people to share the jams with. Yesterday at the lovely Santir was so nice – we love that place. In all its incarnations, ever since we first set foot on its soil. It’s places like Santir that make our music grow.

It’s a living being, that music of ours. It keeps on growing.

There’s gonna be a live CD before the studio one, by the way. Brother Silas is coming over for a couple of weeks in November and we’re gonna record all our jams. Stream the whole lot inworld as well.

Can’t wait.

Help People Island

On the 13th of September, Madame and me were invited to jam at the stage of Help People Island and the good people there were kind enough to take some piccas of the show. Wanna see them? Just click on the image above.

Let’s do a studio album. Maybe even throw in some drums here and there. Get it up on iTunes. Might be a nice New Year thing. Buy ads to announce the release. Try to smooch some SL magazines (check the Reading Table on the left of your screen) into wanting to write about about the album and let Madame do the talking. Haha. Now that would be something.

Apart from that, we’ll most likely be keep on keeping on doing things like we already do. Not too many shows, and try to do them at the cool places for the cool people (which would be you). And keep working on keeping it all fresh, music and stage. Then we’ll see what happens.

We’re also thinking about going RL. Now there would be some adventure as well, with the lightshow and all.

Autumn’s is a nice season for dreaming away.

Now that people stay in the house more, with autumn on its way and stuff, they spend more time at their computer. And sometimes, I guess, they get carried away by all this crowdsourcing and having an opninion about everything. It’s what happens when people get online with their computers.

Having an opinion about opinions is also popular, by the way.

One of the topics that’s regularly being dug up for a rerun, is money. More specifically: the money we, as musicians, make. Point is: it’s never enough. I mean, c’mon, get real. Here we are, bringing world peace and putting a halt to world famine, plus we repair the ozone layer while we’re at it, and do we get compensated for that? Or even respected?

Hell no. We don’t.  We’re lucky if we don’t get griefed or worse. And apart from that, we even have to buy our own strings. A fresh set every day.

Fortunately, recently, our Messiah returned and He’s gonna set things straight. Here’s how it works. We’re all gonna get a box office with a chair for an avatar in it, and sell tickets. If people refuse to pay for such tickets, we’ll give them fair warning and kick their sorry asses off the SIM if they persist in their insubordinance.

There remains, of course, the minor detail of who should be allowed to use such a system. But no need to worry there. This too has been considered by our Messiah (peace be with Him) and He will only expect of quality artists and venues to set up that box office thing.

More power to the Messiah, is what we say. Read up on it here, if you want. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we jammed at .:The Forest:. and at Santir today. Stumbled across a fresh groove, which we called “Run For The Money”.

Gonna keep that one in for a bit.

Today, we had an idea: we’re gonna stream what’s going on between shows in the Coolsounds & Magick Studios every now and then. We’ll post the stream URL to the Twitterz on such occasions.
